FIFA affiliates in Canada and the United States use soccer in its name.
Several branches of the FIFA have recently been "normalized" to use "Soccer", including:

- In 2007, New Zealand, said: "the international changes and is known as a football game.
- Samoa changed "Samoa (football) Federation," to "Football Federation of Samoa" in 2009.
