Chess is a game for two players who played on a chessboard, a square-checkered Board with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. Theorists have developed extensive chess strategies and tactics since the creation of the game. Computers have been used for many years playing in the create chess program and their knowledge and skills have significantly contributed to the modern chess theory. A Deep Blue, was the first machine to overcome the defending world champions playing capacity when even beaten Garry Kasparov in 1997.
Contemporary chess is an organized sport with structured international and national leagues, tournaments and Congress. International Board in chess, FIDE (International Chess Federation). Most countries have a national chess organization as well (such as the US Chess Federation and English Chess Federation) which is a member of FIDE. FIDE is a member of the International Olympic Committee, [80] but the game of chess has never been a part of the Olympic Games; chess has its own Olympiad, held every two years as a team event.
Other competitions for individuals include the Junior World Championships. Invitation to the tournament only regularly attract the best players in the world. Some examples of Spain Linares event, the Monte Carlo tournament Amber melody, Dortmund-Sparkassen meeting, Sofia M-tel masters and Wijk aan Zee tournament of Tata Steel.
Regular team chess events include the Olympics and team championships. The 38th Olympiad was held in 2008 in Dresden, Germany. Armenia won the gold in the unrestricted event for the second time after Turin 2006 and Georgia took the top women's medals. The world's problems Chess Championship and correspondence chess WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP includes both team and individual events.
